Favorite places for celebrities in Santa Monica include the Third Street Promenade, the weekly farmer's markets, and of course, the beaches.

Celebrities Santa Monica - A Natural Pairing

Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, Sean Penn, Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Kayne West are among the most frequent celebrity visitors to Santa Monica.

Because there's so much to do in Santa Monica, with special events that vary from season to season, and year-round agreeable weather, there's always a good reason for the A-list - or anyone, for that matter -  to visit Santa Monica.

For the record, those celebrities I've met around the city and come to know are at their best - happy and relaxed - here on the beach or at their favorite Santa Monica haunts.

They go to Cannes to be seen, but celebrities come to Santa Monica to escape the celebrity treadmill. Instead, it is a place for them to relax, enjoy the world-class dining, agreeable weather year round, and, of course, the beaches - all without the fuss of their normal on-camera lives.

It is, after all, what Santa Monica is known for - a place where you can be yourself. No fuss, no drama, but plenty of low-key places to chill and have fun.
