Santa Monica Fall Activities Make Fitness Fun 

Fall is almost here! There are countless events, programs, and activities our beautiful beachside city has to offer this fall.

There are recreation classes to motivate tweens and teens, an adult coed volleyball league, and even an aqua aerobics program to help everyone get fit.

Santa Monica Fall Activities

1. Recreation classes to motivate tweens and teens

Santa Monica Community Recreation provides classes for all ages. Classes in Engineering, Spanish, Dance, Gymnastics, Tennis, Sports, and more will motivate and inspire tweens and teens to get active!

2. Try out aqua aerobics as a new way to get fit

Come and splash away the pounds or come for fun and fitness with a water aerobics program. This shallow and deep water workout includes the use of jogging belts and water barbells to increase strength and cardiovascular fitness. 

Each program is geared towards each participant’s fitness level, and beginners are encouraged to attend.

SHALLOW WATER

  • Monday: 7 - 8 pm
  • Wednesday: 7 - 8 pm
  • Sunday: 8:15 - 9:15 am

DEEP WATER

  • Tuesday: 7 - 8 pm
  • Thursday: 7 - 8 pm
  • Sunday: 9:30 - 10:30 am

3. Join an adult coed volleyball league

Santa Monica's coed volleyball league is a great way to socialize and exercise. Each season offers approximately 10 games on top of playoffs. 

Important Fall 2019 Dates:

  • Priority Resident Online Registration Opens July 31, 2019 (6 a.m.)
  • Non-Resident Registration Opens August 7, 2019 (6 a.m.)
  • Registration Continues Throughout Season
