The Shore Hotel by the sea

The horseshoe-shaped, eco-friendly Shore Hotel is directly across the street from the ocean, providing guests with unbeatable views in a laid-back environment.

Just steps from some of Santa Monica's top attractions - including the Santa Monica Pier and the Third Street Promenade shops and restaurants -  the Shore Hotel offers contemporary beach comfort in a convenient, scenic location.

From the champagne (or sparkling cider) upon check-in, to the modern guest rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and private patios or balconies (some with ocean views), to the 24-hour fitness center, this is a boutique hotel that has understated luxury down.

A Beach Haven

Built in 2011, the Shore Hotel has 164 rooms and 20 suites. Ask for an ocean-facing room with a balcony if you want to watch the sunset. Some of the non-ocean-view rooms surround a lush garden with heat lamps and lounge chairs. It’s also the only pet-friendly part of the hotel.

The guest-only, solar-heated pool sports ocean views and has plenty of deck chairs. There’s also a hot tub. During the summer, the hotel has Summer Soiree nights featuring an acoustic band.

Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center with an on-site personal trainer. The  fitness center’s floor is made from recycled tires and provides guests round-the-clock access to weights, treadmills, bikes and more.

Shopping and dining is close by at the Third Street Promenade and adjacent Santa Monica Place, two of Santa Monica's premier shopping areas. It's also a green/sustainable property, participating in the LEED Gold program, a third-party certification program that has been independently certified.
